I was very excited to receive an invitation this this exclusive Beauty Soiree by Revlon and BDJBox. This is my 4th make-up workshop this year , the more I go to these workshops the better I can come up with the style of my own. I always look forward to events like these by BDJ because they really make it worth your while to attend and learn about new techniques and products. I was instructed to come to the Borough at The Podium. 2:30PM, bring my own make-up tools, dress up for a Luau and arrive bare faced. I arrived an hour and a half early for the event, wearing something floral (pants, I borrowed from my Aunt), I am not much of a Luau person,(Mumus, Maxi dresses, bare mid-rift and floral dresses) I own none of these things. My chances to winning best Luau outfit shot down :). The venue was at the 2nd level of the Borough. I have never been to this restaurant before and I am excited to see how the BDJ Team set it up.
After I registered, I was told by Mich that I would be part of team 1 at the front table. I found the set up pretty awesome, they even have the lighted train-cases and make-up chairs. A lighted photo area where we can have our photos taken after we finish our summer make-up looks. This is also part of the post event contest where we are encouraged to join after the Soiree.
Feast your eyes on these beauties! Some of these products will only come out in the market sometime in May! Wow first dibs on the new product line by Revlon! I started looking at them as soon as I sat down, to be honest I wanted to rip them out of their sealed packages but patience is a virtue, so I wait, resisting the urge to swatch each and every product on the table.
Make-up Artist Ana Paredes gave us some skin basics lessons and some summer make-up tips. She did the Revlon Summer Look for a fair skinned ladies with BDJ Team’s Nicole. and another look with another BDJ Team, the Revlon Summer Look for Morenas.
I learned that:
*** that I can apply a light brow pencil and then a darker brow pencil to make my eyebrow look more natural, set with clear gel.
*** to make yourself look younger you need to make your eyebrow look closer together *** that you need to let the glue on the false lashes to dry a bit before applying them on top of your actual lashes, so that they will be easier to remove after.
*** You can re-use false lashes, just wash them with soap and water.
*** Contour will help make your face look more pronounced, we can actually use a bronzer after you apply your blush.

Ready to put on my Revlon Summer Look. I used this Revlon ColorStay # 520 Brazen Deinvolte on my eyes and we all got to take home a Color Stay Eyeshadow Pallet .
We got the chance to finally open the cosmetics and do our own Summer Make-up in front of the lighted mirror! The participants will be taking turns, while the others dine on the excellent gastronomic fare of the Borough. Group 1, our table were the first ones to sit at using the Revlon Make-up Stations. Feeling, Asia`s Next Top Model! I wanted to take the train case and Revlon chair home!
Team 1 finally got to taste and toast on the scrumptious food from Borough. I must take my kids here since the fare is perfect for them.
Congrats to the winners of the Best Summer Luau Outfits, they each took home a Revlon Gift Pack.

Shocks, sobrang ma-s-stress ako pag may dress code. Hahaha. Pero it looks fun. Parang smorgasbord ng lahat ng revlon products.
They do try to make it interesting to attend the events with the outfits. I try to get by. It is fun. You should attend one of these things sometime.
I’ll try, I think I need to conquer this social anxiety.
