Making Scents: Downy Pays Tribute to Mothers on Mother’s Day

Happy Mother`s Day to all the Moms, would be Moms and those who have not actually given birth but play the “role” of Mom to their families!!!

Last week, my daughter Raffy and I were invited to attend a gathering of mothers hosted by Downy Timeless at the Peninsula Manila, where guests celebrate how a mother’s love not only endures but also evolves over time. Her words and actions stay with her children forever, and affect the kind of parents her children may eventually be.

Timeless white, classic, calm and perfect for a gathering of women.  As we entered the venue, We not only noticed the beautiful venue Downy Timeless prepared for us Mommies but also the subtle scent in the air that evokes warmth and tranquility.  Raffy and I found our seats and then we were ushered to get our glamour shot at the flowered photo wall.

Food Review: Cupcake Bites Cafe Lilac Street Marikina

Raft and I were cruising Lilac Street looking for something sweet to take home to my son Jarod. We usually visit Lilac Street after a school activity which ends very early. And most of the shop open after 12NN, so we end up just having a burger at the nearest fast-food join when we were feeling too hungry to wait for a shop to open. Lucky, I we spotted Cupcake Bites Cafe opened early (they usually open around 1:00PM).

Cupcake Bites Cafe is looks a lot like their cupcakes, feminine, cute, and perfect for dainty girls. The cafe just opened for the day, so it was just Raffy and myself.  We decided to take the cupcakes home instead of dining in.

Food Review: Meat Lovers`Paradise Sandaya Yakiniku Fisher Mall

Whenever I feel like having beef I usually have something Japanese, my problem usually is which Japanese restaurant to dine coz let`s be honest there are more of them out there, and honestly I have yet to try half of them.

This is why I was happy to receive an invitation for a Zomato Foodie Meet-up at one of the newer Malls in Quezon City. Fisher Mall.

Menu

Sandaya Fisher Mall, is located at the 3rd level, you can`t miss it since it is near the escalators. I arrived found the venue impressive with their elegant dining set up. It was a large restaurant that could probably accommodate a large group of people or become a venue for a special occasion like a birthday party or corporate affair.

Wooden Table and Chairs

Sandaya Yakiniku- Fisher Mall opened November 2014 and is barely a year old but has made a name for itself as one of top Yakiniku restaurants in the city.

Sandy Fisher Mall looks intimidating at first glance because of the elegant and formal atmosphere. For Alvin Ong, Vice President and COO of Sandaya Yakiniku-Fisher Mall, Sandaya Fisher Mall is a family owned business and they consider it a family friendly restaurant.

Oshibori

Before we started dining we were given Oshibori, or hot towels. An o-shibori  or hot towel in English is a wet hand towel offered to customers in places such as restaurants or bars in China and Japan and in some Chinese and many Japanese restaurants worldwide. O-shibori are used to clean one’s hands before eating, and have long been a common sight in China and Japan.

I only experienced this once while attending a friend`s wedding. And this for me is a sign of consideration for the diners.

I have been feeling poorly lately due to over fatigue and stress from work.  I know a lot of  women can relate to this. You have so much to do! So little time to do it.
