I am a self confessed bookworm, I am not even choosy. I like books in all shapes and forms. New books, old smelly antiquated books and now ebooks.
I have been using buqo app for about 10 months now, I downloaded it because I am a huge fan of books written by Filipino authors (love and support your own!) and Buqo has all the local magazines and YA books I like at a fairly reasonable price.
Buqo is a digital bookstore, newsstand and reader in one app. It carries a wide selection of Filipino reads that caters to various interests. Whether you’re into romance, fiction, teen literature, or motivational materials, buqo has the perfect offering suited for you. Its catalog is also brimming with specialty titles sure to whet your appetite–from travel, food, and leisure to cars, fitness, and entertainment.
To date, buqo has over 500 books and magazines and counting, with familiar names such as Pol Medina’s Pugad Baboy, Bo Sanchez’s Shepherd’s Voice, Precious Hearts Romances, Summit Media, and Lampara Children’s Books already in the fold.
This season, to mark their first Christmas, buqo decided to generously give…
… books digitally.
Dubbed as “36 days of Christmas” because for buqo 12 days does not seem enough.
For 36 days buqo will be giving out a ebook or a magazine for free! Yes, FREE!
Starting November 26 up to the very last day of the 2014 (Dec 31).
A new item will be featured daily and will be completely free to download for 24 hours. Hey, that’s a total of 36 books and magazines you’ll be finding under the “Christmas tree” (a.k.a. the “36 Days of Buqo Christmas” banner in the app). Isn’t that exciting?!
Starting November 26 at 11:00am, a new book or magazine will be unveiled on their social media channels as the featured freebie every day. You will then have 11:00am until 10:00am the next day to get it. When 11:00am comes around again, a new freebie will be up for grabs.
The buqo apps and website will have a special banner in the store that you can check anytime for the featured freebie. If you don’t have the buqo app yet, now’s the best time to get it. Download it on your iOS(App Store)) or Android (Google Play) device, or both!
Add them on Facebook: www.facebook.com/buqoapp, Twitter(www.twitter.com/buqo/) and Instagram(www.instagram.com/buqoapp) so you’ll be sure to get the freshest and latest news on buqo. Visit then at http://www.buqo.ph.
What is your favorite local publication?
Until next time!
