Unboxing: BDJ Box Elite Girls Night Out

After not being able to get an August BDJ Box filled with Shiseido Ibuki goodies, I got really sad that I don’t have a BDJ Box for August, I spotted the BDJ Box Elite: Girls Night Out filled with very interesting goodies I wanted to try out.

You may ask what the difference between the Regular BDJ Box and the BDJ Elite. Well other than the price which is twice as much as the regular BDJ Box (580php) < BDJ Box Elite (1,680). The contents of the Elite Box is posted on the BDJ Box FB page so, beauty enthusiast like myself can decide if the price is really worth the contents of the box. The Elite box is offered for a limited time and after your payment has been confirmed they ship the box on the day itself, no need to wait! I paid for my box Tuesday and received 2 days later. Aside from that I got to my pick of BB Shade and Ralph Lauren Big Pony Perfume I wanted (Thanks Rona 😘)

My BDJ Box Elite did not come in a box but rather a very nice Multi-Function Pouch (an iPad Mini can fit in it.) It is black soft leatherette in snake skin from Renegade Folk that I love, it gives the products a certain kind of class.

Goody So Bright Styling Brush, 399.75php and a Come Play with Me Invitation
One of the first items that caught my eye in the BDJ Elite is the Goody hair brush. Raffy was in the market for a new one since the old one lost all it’s soft bristles a week ago. A Goody brush is always a good buy. I also received a Come Play with Me Invitation (Sept 14, 2013) event at MOA. Raffy and I will be braving MOA again because of the goodies!

Cover Girl Liquiline Blast Eyeliner, 450php
I have been practicing my eyeliner application skills with all kinds of eyeliners, pencil ( pretty ok), liquid (got it down pat), gel/cream ( my most hated since I can seem to handle the brush) and powder eyeshadow ( so so). The Cove Girl Liquiline Blast Eyeliner is a curious product that promises the ease and blendability of a waterproof pencil and can be used as a plain liner or you can smoke it out. I don’t go out much but testing this out would be too good to pass up.

Fairydrops Platinum Mascara, 1,195php
I have been hearing great this about this Fairydrops but I found it too pricy to try out. With the promise of giving you a doll-like lashes plus it has 5 kinds of essence to repair your lashes, this is a must try.

Revlon Photoready BB Cream Skin Perfector, 30ml 725php
I always wanted to try a photo ready product, but since my work take me out in the sun most of my BB Creams have 37 SPF. I was also told that the higher the SPF the more obvious it will look if you take a photo with flash photography. I maybe wrong because, Revlon Photoready BB Skin Perfector promises different. I don’t really care for BB Cream products not made in Korea since the horrible effect one US brand who claims to be BB Cream but was obviously NOT. I will be attending a wedding soon and it would be great if Revlon BB cream would be up to snuff.

L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Oil, 100ml 499php
This is not one of my favorites in the BDJ Elite, seeing most of the L’Oreal products I have tried out made my hair bushy (buhaghag) and who wants that? Raffy who is blessed with long straight hair will probably be keeping this too.

Benefit It’s Potent! Eye Cream 3.0g 01oz (not sure how much since it’s in a tiny sample size) but the full size is 1,800php (0.5oz)
I have always had panda eyes 🐼. Ever since I can remember, the need to fix this is crucial! I have tried 3 eye creams so far and I have yet to see results. I hope Benefit It’s Potent! Would finally be the ONE.

Nippon Cleansing Kit:

Since I use make-up all the time this Nippon Cleansing Kit will be put to good use.

Ralph Lauren Big Pony Fragrance, 10ml, 750php
And finally one of my favorite in the BDJ Elite is the Ralph Lauren Fragrance #4, I have raved about this when I got my May BDJ Box with all four samples of the RL Big Pony. The Purple #4 is my favorite. I am glad I got to choose the scent. Since this is such an Asian inspired exotic scent that is just perfect for me.

These are 8 premium products that I and Raffy are eager to try out. And if you compute the actual cost of each item, you actually save around 3,000php! Wow! Awesome huh? I will be doing reviews of some of the favorite products from the BDJ Elite, watch out for them.
